英皇等级考试佳绩频传
ABRSM Practical Exam Result
因受全球疫情影响，中国大陆地区的英皇考级已停摆了一年多，要参加考级只有参加海外线上考试。音乐部经过多方努力，解决了参加海外线上考试面临的各种问题，在4月份开始为音乐学生组织参加线上考级。这周我们收到了首批参加线上考试学生的成绩，常州威雅出色的小音乐家们再次交出了一份漂亮的英皇演奏考级成绩单：100%通过率，优秀率50%，打破了往年的记录！
Due to the global pandemic, ABRSM exams in China mainland have been stopped for over one year. Currently, the only way to sit an exam is by attending an overseas online exam. With effort and dedication to our students, we solved all of the problems of sitting the overseas online exam and started to arrange our pupils to do the exams in April. WASCZ fantastic young musicians delivered brilliant ABRSM exam results to us again: 100% pass rate and 50% distinction!
十二年级Someville学院的李同学此次参加八级声乐考试，她轻松地拿下了优秀的等级，为9月份进入大学做好了充分的准备。她的声乐指导老师Pixie博士给予她高度评价：她的声音清澈甜美，良好的先天条件加上持之以恒的努力，拿到优秀对她来说是理所当然的。
Y13 Someville C. Li got her Singing G8 with Distinction, ensuring that she is fully prepared ahead of attending university in September. Her vocal teacher Dr. Pixie spoke highly of her: She has very clean and sweet voice. With her consistent level of effort and hard work, she deserves the honor.
七年级Cavell学院的陈同学再次以优秀成绩拿下单簧管四级，保持了她逢考全优的记录。指导老师Garfitt先生对她此次的成绩非常满意，这个成绩是对她平时刻苦努力的最好回报。
Y8 Cavell L. Chen achieved her clarinet G4, maintaining her distinction record in every ABRSM exam so far. Her clarinet teacher Mr. Garfitt is very satisfied with her result - this achievement is the best reward for her hard work.
小学部企鹅班的小萌新徐小朋友，第一次参加英皇钢琴二级考试就拿到了优秀等级，她录制的考级介绍视频已经成为现在学校所有考生的参考材料。
W. Xu from primary Penguin class took her first piano G2 and was also rewarded with a distinction. The instruction video she took has become the reference for all our musicians.
在这里我们特别想祝贺十年级Hawking学院的王同学，他的小提琴五级这次达到了良好的等级，这在老师们看来是非常优秀的成绩。虽然他起步较晚，但他用刻苦努力后来追上。他已经为自己树立了明确的目标：大学要学习音乐！他已为此做好了计划与目标，要在接下来的两年里加倍努力，直至达成心中所愿。
We want to congratulate Y11 Hawking R. Wang, who received a merit in his violin G5 exam. This is a remarkable result. Although he started studying the violin later than many, his hard work can compensate. He has set a goal for himself: studying music in university. He will now redouble his effort to achieve this goal in the coming two years.
参加考试的孩子们都取得了出色的成绩，这与他们自身的努力和老师们的付出是分不开的。能够看到学生们在音乐学习上的成长，这是音乐部所有老师最感欣慰的。学习音乐的目的并不是为了考级，但学生们也非常愿意通过参加考级这个目标来挑战自己，给自己交出一份漂亮的成绩单。
These great achievements are owed largely to our musician’s hard work and our specialist team. The most rewarding part for the music department is that we can see our musicians grow up over the years. Taking the exam is not the primary aim of learning music, but the musicians are enjoy challenging themselves to work towards a goal, and are rewarded with amazing results.
接下来6月份我们还将有更多的音乐学生参加乐理和演奏考试，在准备英皇考级的同时，他们还将面对繁重的期末考试。预祝这些学生都能取得最佳成绩!
We will have more musicians sitting theory and practical exams in June, during the school’s busy end-of-year exam period. We wish these musicians all the best!
