常州威雅非常荣幸能够受邀与西太湖国际社区联合举办此次艺术音乐展，这是威雅首场校外艺术音乐展，展出了部分学生们的优秀艺术作品。
Wycombe Abbey School Changzhou are very pleased to play a partnership role in the local community by collaborating with Xitaihu Lake Community Centre for the very first external exhibition of students’artwork.

西太湖国际社区是为中外籍创业人才和服务机构全力打造的常州市国际人才社区。此次，常州威雅受邀参与“万物―与音乐相遇”主题画展的举办。
本次艺术音乐展起始于今年的9月10日，恰逢教师节。值此时节，我们想对学校各位才华横溢、技艺精湛的艺术部和音乐部老师致以谢意，感谢他们支持孩子们的创作，激发孩子们的想象力，并鼓励他们勇敢表达自己的想法。此外，还感谢参与作品展出的学生们，以及今天特地到场出席开展仪式的学生们，祝贺他们正式成为拥有公开发表作品的艺术家。
It was highly appropriate that this event launched on Teachers’ Day 2021, and our thanks go to the highly skilled and talented art and music teachers who support the creative work of our students and inspire them to use their imagination and be bold in their expression. Our thanks also go to the students themselves, some of whom attended the official opening, and we congratulate them on officially being published artists!
艺术创作在儿童的成长过程中发挥着至关重要的作用，同时，也会助力推动世界的发展。通过参与艺术活动，孩子们能够实践一系列技能，促进自身的全面发展。艺术创作有助于孩子们在身体素质、社交、认知以及情感等方面全面发展。在开拓新的艺术和音乐表现形式的过程中，孩子们的想象力和实验性思维也会得到充分锻炼。
The exhibition includes the original musical compositions by nine musicians from the school who selected works by nine of their peers in the art department to inspire their music. The result is an excellent example of the student-centred learning promoted in the Art and Music departments, providing frameworks within which students can develop their skills, explore creative thinking, and find freedom to express themselves.
本次艺术音乐展你们还可以欣赏到常州威雅九名小音乐家的原创音乐作品。他们受艺术部九位小艺术家作品的启发，从而用音符和旋律表达了自己对作品的感受。这充分体现了常州威雅艺术部和音乐部“以学生为中心”的教学理念。在这种构架下，学生可以提高他们的技能，并培养创新性思维能力，尽情享受自由表达的乐趣。
